It never changes our recommendations
Our venue write-ups and "Best Of" rankings are based on research and reviews, not on whether a business pays us. We do not sell ranking positions, and a commission never buys a better placement.
Sponsored placements
If we ever run sponsored slots, three rules apply: every sponsored slot carries a visible "Sponsored" label, sponsorships appear only on planning pages (never inside venue write-ups), and rankings can never be bought — a sponsor's position in any Best-Of list is decided exactly like everyone else's. Newsletter sponsorships, if any, follow the same labeling rule.
