Why visit

Mike and Luanne Gutermuth opened this small family-run winery in March 2023 on a 42-acre farm along Snickersville Turnpike — the mailing address says Round Hill, but in practice it sits closer to the village of Bluemont.
The estate Albariño is the reason to detour: the 2024 vintage took Best in Show for the varietal at the 2026 Virginia Governor's Cup, after the inaugural 2023 bottling won gold the year before.
Wines are made with winemaker Nate Walsh from estate plantings that include Albariño, Petit Manseng, Pinot Blanc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot.
The tasting room occupies a renovated farmhouse, and the deck and patio look across the vines to the Blue Ridge foothills.
Leashed dogs are welcome on the deck, patio and grounds but not indoors; all ages are welcome, and you can bring your own food (no outside alcohol).
A two-bedroom guest cottage on the property rents for overnight stays, and the farm hosts weddings, showers and private events.
